21 – Drafting Objects in Blender

Create Toy/Furniture/Object 
Create a 3D model in Blender that is a copy of an object in real life

Step 1: 
Find or Take photos of a piece of 

Toy/Furniture/Object 
Create pencil drawings of the many sides of the object
Use a ruler to take measurements of your Object.
Create at least 2 drawings, with measurements:
A Side view also known as an Elevation View.
A Top view also know as a Plan View Design.

Step 2:
Use Blender to recreate your object in 3D using SketchUp.
Use the:
Basic Shape
Edit Mode to Extrude and Inset shapes
Sculpting mode to add soft and organic shapesKeep track of the dimensions of your object. Try to keep the size as real as possible.
Get the basic shape first and then add the details and colors.

Other ideas:
Create an object that does not exist! get your inspiration from science
fiction, fantasy, anime, etc. 
Create something that you would want to use! A new type of furniture, a
new tool, etc.  

For your records save a file named Lastname_Firstname_Project_6.blend 
You will also make PNGS of the file as stated below.

Turn in a PNG that has the following 5 images (use Canva to create this)

LABEL EACH IMAGE
ADD A TITLE with your NAME
1.Side View/Elevation Drawing

2. Top View/ Plan Drawing
3. Blender Model Paralllel (Top)
4. Blender Model Elevation View (Any)
5. Blender Model Perspective View
