We will learn how to use AFTER EFFECTS
After Effects is a motion graphics and animation application.
Create an After Effects Project that contains any of the following:
After Effects Basics
New Composition: HDV/HDTV 720 25
0:00:03:00 for duration
Use the Shape tool to Create a Shape
Right Click > Transform > Center Anchor Point in Layer Content
Use the Move tool to move the shape to the left side of the screen
In the Layer for the shape you will see CONTENTS and TRANSFORM.
Close the CONTENTS tab by using the arrow.
Open the TRANSFORM tab by using the arrow.
This is how you will control the KEY FRAMES.
The KEY FRAMES are used to control the animation.
In the POSITION line, click on the STOP WATCH icon next to the Word.
This will set the POSITION of the object at the certain time.
Move the PLAYHEAD to the end of the timeline.
Now move the OBJECT.
This will create a New Keyframe which will create an animation!
We will repeat these steps with OPACITY, ROTATION and SCALE
To Save:
You will SAVE the project to the desktop. An After Effects Project can have multiple compositions.
For this first practice we will just save one file.
