3. My Bounce Project – Static and Rigid Body Experiment

You will practice all the skills we learned in the previous assignment.
You will create a new GODOT project.
The project should have
*A Background image 
*Three StaticBody2D objects
*Three Rigid Body2D objects

Create a new folder on your desktop called 
MY BOUNCE PROJECT

Find images online that you would like to use in your project
You should shave THREE images that will be the  STATIC BODY- Walls/Ramps/Floors
You should save THREE images that will be RIGID BODY – bouncing objects, characters, etc.

Open Godot Create a New Project

Create a new 2D Node
Rename it Main

Scene, Save Scene
Save the file and choose MAIN as the MAIN SCENE

Add a Sprite2D Node
Add an Image to this Node by dragging an image to the TEXTURE window in the INSPECTOR
Rename this as Background

Add a STATIC BODY 2D
Name it WALL
Right Click on this and ADD ad CHILD NODE
Choose SPRITE 2D
Add one of your images to the TEXTURE option
Resize as necessary
Now under the same WALL NODE and under SPRITE 2D
add a COLLISIONPOLYGON2D and draw around the shape you just created
(Repeat this step twice)

Now add a RIGIDBODY2D

Right Click on this and ADD ad CHILD NODE
Choose SPRITE 2D
Add one of your images to the TEXTURE option
Resize as necessaryNow add a COLLISION SHAPE 2D
To define this shape go to INSPECTOR > SHAPE and choose CIRCLE SHAPE2D
Now carefully use the SELECT ARROW and drag the circle around yoru shape and RESIZE 
(Repeat this step twice)

Now experiment with the PHYSICS MATERIAL in RIGID BODY 2  by adding a new Physics material and changing friction and bounce!

Assignment

Run your game and make a VIDEO of your experiment
PROJECT > PROJECT SETTINGS > MOVIE
go to MOVIE WRITER
MOVIE FILE > create a new file name
MY BOUNCE PROJECT

Now press the write video button and press play on your project
submit the AVI video
